Please, say it ain't so! Jack will jack up taxes, corporate and otherwise. Jacking up corporate taxes is pure folly since it drives employers out of the country to places like the Republic of Ireland and Switzerland, places with very low corporate taxes. Jack says, "Let the corporations pay and give the man in the street a break." This is foolishness. The "man in the street" works for a corporation of some sort. It is the source of his heat and his food. Every Canadian who lives in a heated house and eats food is dependent upon a corporation for said heat and food. If the government drives away the corporations, the man in the street loses his livelihood.
"Let the corporations pay and give the young people free tuitions." This, too, is foolishness. The young people may earn a degree at no cost, but what will they do with it if there are no jobs? Frame it, hang it on a wall, freeze and starve.
I have issues with the Tories and Mr. Harper on social issues, but fiscally, they have the right idea.
