Why do liberals, such as Martin and Miller, keep perpetrating the myth that banning handguns will save lives? Criminals do not obey laws. A ban on handguns will not deter criminals from acquiring, carrying, and using handguns. Pronouncing a ban on handguns is pure optics. It is political liberal-speak. Give the law some teeth. Bring back capital punishment for capital offences. Lock away forever anyone using a handgun (or any other weapon) in a crime. And let the leaders of the communities from which the gangs and violence emanate take some leadership in mentoring their youth. Change the culture with good leadership and strong laws, and you'll see a change for good.
