Yesterday on Clarence Stam's and my weekly radio program, What does the Bible Say?, a typical Canadian phoned in. The typical Canadian knows a few things about the Bible from Sunday school class he attended as a child, and the rest of his theology he makes up as he goes along. He freaked out at the concept of original sin. But then, everyone hates the biblical doctrine of original sin: Pelagius hated it, Arminius hated it. I hate it too, but it's the truth, and knowledge of it makes me love the gospel.
