Today Canada celebrated Victoria Day. I wonder how many Canadians know who Victoria is. She was Canada's queen for 64 years, from 1837 to 1901. Victoria Day is the traditional day for getting the bedding plants out. Dora and I are a little behind; we spent the morning getting our way-too-many flower beds ready for bedding plants (which will have to be planted later this week; Dora will need to do it since I'm a little busy having to solemnize five weddings in the next five weeks plus the regular work). Then this afternoon, together with a good part of Dora's family, we descended upon a brothers 200 acre farm where we played paint ball (I was on the losing team -- matter of fact, it was my fault the other team got our flag -- but my brothers in law and nephews were gracious and forgave me [and then told me to keep my day job]) after which we enjoyed barbecued hamburgers and sausage. Happy Birthday Vickie!
